Autumn Term - Week 8

Autumn Term - Week 8

🎃 Wow, what a fantastic final week of the term we’ve had! 🎃

In Maths, we’ve tackled the tricky skill of long division — check out the song that’s helped us remember the steps! 👉

In Writing, the children have written and published their non-chronological reports on Whitby, producing some absolutely gorgeous handwriting across the year group.

In Art, we’ve completed our final piece inspired by local artist James Brunt, using a range of different sketching techniques.

In Guided Reading, we finished our class book Room 13 and finally discovered that Fliss and her friends managed to defeat Dracula… or did they? 🧛‍♂️📖

A huge well done to our Stars of the Week:
⭐ 6A – Bella & Rubie C
⭐ 6N – Xander & Brooklyn

A few reminders for after half term:
📅 Children return to school on Tuesday 4th November.

🏃‍♂️ Our PE days will change to Tuesday and Friday as we’ll be working with coaches from Rotherham United Community Sports Trust on their Joy of Movement course.

We hope everyone has a fantastic half term and a Happy Halloween! 🎃
If you’re out and about on 31st October, check out the Plug in and Play Games Trail across Rotherham, organised by Children’s Capital of Culture and The National Video Game Museum.

You’ll even have the chance to play the game designed and tested by the children in 6A! 🎮
