Weekly Update

AU1 WK2

What a busy week we've had in year 3 this week!

We've started our new Stone Age to Iron Age topic in history and we've already been busy exploring the thread of 'Progress and Change' when looking at the developments humans made from the Old Stone Age to the New Stone Age. Lots of our children liked the idea of being a hunter gatherer and finding their own food!

We've had both our indoor and outdoor sessions of PE and the children particularly liked the games we played outside in the sunshine on Wednesday. Our first topic is tag rugby and it's a great one for building teamwork and resilience.

Spellings started this week and we had our first test today. Please see the separate post to celebrate the children scoring full marks.

We'll be starting our tooth brushing club next week so keep your eye out for photos and terrible teeth-related puns that will no doubt come with them!

Special Mentions:
The special mention for this week went to Louis for his excellent learning behaviour, participation and contributions in our science lessons. A big well done to Louis!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Warm regards,
Mrs Pritchard.
