We've had another great week in year 5 which ended with a bang as we enjoyed a tremendous sports day!

Next week the children are going to sit their final assessments of the year. We think they have made such great progress this year and their assessments are a chance to show us just that. We are mindful of children's mental health and wellbeing throughout the week so we build them up with warm-ups before each test and have positive debriefs after tests where we share moments of success with the children.

Next week, the children need their P.E. kits on Monday and Thursday although we do ask them to be in school all week if possible. Earrings should be removed before school please. Please ensure children have a suitable outdoor kit on Monday (white t-shirt, a warm jumper, jogging bottoms and trainers).

Next week's learning:
On Monday, we will sit our SPaG and spelling assessments before enjoying R.E. and P.E. lessons.

On Tuesday, we will sit our reading assessments before continuing our Geography unit of work - A local study.

On Wednesday, we sit our arithmetic and reasoning paper 1 in maths before getting ready for the summer fair.

On Thursday, we sit our final assessment - reasoning paper 2 in maths before enjoying an afternoon of P.E. and music.

On Friday, we prepare for and then run our summer fair in what should be an excellent end to the week!
