Wow – and just like that, we’re back in school with a bang!

It’s been a busy first week back, and we’ve jumped straight into our learning.

In English, we’ve been looking at what makes a great character description and how to use similes and metaphors to make our writing really shine.

In Guided Reading, we’ve started our new book Goodnight Mr Tom – it’s already sparked some brilliant discussions! We’ve been making predictions and exploring lots of new vocabulary.

In Maths, we’ve been tackling multi-step problems using all four operations – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

We’ve also kicked off all our new topics:

⚡ Science – Electricity
🧵 D&T – Sewing
✝️ RE – Christianity
🏀 PE – Basketball

This afternoon, we had our first Joy of Movement session with coaches from Rotherham United, and the children absolutely loved it!
