Weekly Update

Spring 2, Week 3
Weekly Update
This week, children have been working hard on assessments in reading, SPaG and maths demonstrating their learning in these subjects and ability to apply this learning in assessments. We’re really pleased with how hard the children have tried.
Science
In science this week, as part of British Science Week (this year based on Curiosity: What’s Your Question?), we investigated the question: What’s the best design for a paper aeroplane? There were some excellent paper aeroplanes and helicopters on display.
Geography
In geography, we looked at the concept of trade and which foods we can source from the UK and which foods we have to source from abroad.
DT
In DT this week, children did a mixture of skills practice for preparing their salad box whilst other children planned the content of their box.
Music
Using our new music scheme, Kapow, children started to plan a musical structure inspired by a story.
RE
In RE, children considered a bible story that gave an example of where Jesus used forgiveness towards someone who had done wrong.
PE
In PE, we continued our basketball unit where children developed movement skills to take advantage of space. In yoga, children made a variety of yoga poses which led into creating their own routine.
Special mentions this week went to Harry A and Sophie O in 4H, along with Harry S and Oliver W in 4P for their overall effort and attitude to learning this week. A big well done to you all!
Thank you all for your continued support.
