Weekly Update – Summer 2, Week 3

 

What a great week. Mr Pritchard , Mr Hodgson and Miss Brown would like to say a massive well done to all the children for their participation in Sports Day. They did extremely well and it was amazing to see so many parents/carers attend the event. 

 

This is a polite reminder that the Rosehill Summer Fair is next Friday (20th June). Please check dojo and your emails for updates and further information. 

 

Next week, we will be carrying out assessments in Year 3. These assessments are end of Year 3 assessments that will solidify the children’s learning throughout this year and give their next teacher an idea of the levels they are working at. The children will complete assessments in the following subject areas:

• Maths

• English

• Reading

• SPaG

 

We have had a number of parents and carers ask us when the children will get to know who their new teachers will be and which children will be in their class. This will be communicated out in due course. Teachers and the school staff are working hard in the background making sure the classes are set evenly and that children’s choices are considered.
