Weekly Update

AU1 WK3
It's been another busy week in year 3, this week!
We've had TWO science lessons this week to make up for the lack of sunshine ruining last week's lesson plans. We've been continuing with our light topic and have been exploring the effectiveness of sun cream and looking at different reflective materials.
In history, we played a hunter-gatherers game where the children pretended to live in the stone age and look for 'food'. They had to hunt for envelopes hidden around the classroom and find safe nuts and berries for us to 'eat'. It was a sad day for us as we lost a lot of good people from our tribe. Why not ask your child if they managed to avoid the poisonous envelopes!
We started our tooth brushing club this week and it's been great fun! The children (and me and Mr Wilkinson of course) have really enjoyed brushing our teeth together after lunch.
This week's year 3 special mention was awarded to Nel who has been working super hard in our reading lessons. Well done Nel!
Big shout out to Jenson too for winning 3rd place on TTRockstars for most minutes played in the whole school! Well done Jenson!
As if that's not enough to celebrate, class 3P won the trophy for the best singing in this week's singing assembly! What a great week 🎉
Have a lovely weekend everybody.
