The event takes place from 1.15pm.  All parents and guardians are very much welcome to come along and enjoy the fun!  

We would like to invite the parents of children in Y3, Y4 and Y5 (Y4, Y5 and Y6 next year) to attend a meeting on Wednesday 5th March where there will be a short presentation to all followed by specific details on each visit.

In order to try and accommodate as many families as possible, we will be running two identical meetings starting at 3:15pm and 5:15pm. Please come along and find out more about our full Residential offer for your children and ask any questions you may have about the visits.

As our Y3 Residential will need to be launched to next year’s Y3 families, we will focus on the visits below:

Following the meetings, there will be an email sent to all Y3/4/5 parents, sharing key information from within the individual presentations.

On this day we will be encouraging pupils to take part in various number themed activities such as puzzles, games and math challenges.  We are also inviting pupils to come to school dressed in a number related costume for ‘Dress up for Digits’!  This can be anything number-related, from a sports jersey with a number on it to a homemade domino outfit.  The more imaginative the better! 

To help support this NSPCC fundraiser event we ask that all pupils who come to school in non-uniform bring in a small cash donation of any size.  

This Number Day will be lots of fun for the pupils whilst still promoting the importance of numeracy. 

We are looking forward to this special day with lots of learning, fun and fundraising!

On the same day, we are holding a Halloween Disco in the evening. As normal, the ticket price for this event will be £1 and will include a free drink. Hot Dogs will be available for the children to buy at school for £1 each while Crisps and Drinks can also be purchased for 50p each. 

The School Hall will be used for the Disco and will be suitably decorated to meet our Spooky Halloween Theme so be very afraid! 

We are holding two separate discos, the first Disco will be for Year 3/4 children who will remain at school and this begins at 3:15pm. All children wishing to stop for this disco will need to give their teachers £1 for the entry. Those stopping for the disco will be released via their normal exits like at hometime after it is finished at 4:30pm. Please make your way across the main yard to collect  your children promptly as we have the upper school disco shortly after.

The second Disco will be for Y5/6 children and will be run in a more traditional fashion of £1 entry on the door. Children should not arrive on site before 4:50pm .The main reception doors will open at approximately 5pm. The same food and related items will be available and children will be leaving their usual exits at 6:15pm so again, if you can make your way onto the main yard in good time ready for a swift exit as we will have a lot of clearing up to do!

We hope the children enjoy this event and that it proves a good day for all and is a great excuse to wear their spooky halloween costumes again! If you require further information, please contact the office and we will answer any questions you have.

If your child wishes to attend, you should complete the appropriate form by following the
appropriate link below. The football clubs were extremely popular last year so if your child is
interested, please complete the form promptly. Anyone who has more than one child who
wishes to attend the club, please fill in a form for each child. If the club is full when you
complete the form, they will be placed on a reserve list and given the opportunity to attend
the club in the spring term.

Any submissions received after the 8th September may not be considered so please don’t
leave it too late if your child wishes to attend.

If you would like your child to participate in the club, you must complete the appropriate form
above. Upon completion of the form, you will be sent a link to make a one-off contribution of
£12 towards the cost of the club (£1 per week). Upon receipt of this payment, you will receive
confirmation that your child has a place reserved at the club.

If you do not receive a confirmation email by Friday 14th of September and you have filled in
the form and made the payment, please contact the school.

It is important that any child attending the club has a suitable PE kit for both indoor and
outdoor sessions which will include shorts, a t-shirt and clean trainers.

While we always try to ensure the children have fun and enjoy themselves, we will be
expecting them to engage positively with the learning delivered and develop their skills. That
will include listening to and following instructions and being considerate towards others. If
there is a problem with behaviour consistently falling below expectations, parents will be
informed and children may be asked to no longer participate in the club.

We would like to invite you to join us for our Sports Day on Wednesday 28th June for a 1:15pm start. 

There will be a number of different events that the children will participate in, rotating round the field as they do so at the completion of each one. You can follow your child as they move around or if you have children in other year groups, you may wish to split your time between classes. 

Following an awards ceremony, the children will return to classes to collect their belongings before being dismissed as normal at 3pm. 

In case of adverse weather meaning the event can’t take place on the day, this will be communicated to parents/carers at the earliest opportunity.

For the event, can you please ensure that your child has their school P.E. kit consisting of black shorts, white t-shirt and sensible trainers.

As the event will be taking place outside, sending your child to school wearing sun cream and with a hat and water bottle is recommended.

We would kindly like to remind parents of the following expectations during Sports Day:

- The school is a non-smoking site (this includes vaping)

- No alcohol is to be brought on to the premises

- The taking of any photos is limited to that of your own children

We are pleased to tell you that we have planned a visit for our Year 6 leavers. The trip will be to Gulliver’s Valley in Rotherham on Thursday 22nd June 2023.

The children should arrive at school for morning registration as usual, and will be leaving on the coach shortly after 9.30am. They will return to school at around 4.30pm. The children will need to bring a packed lunch (no glass bottles/fizzy drinks please). Children will not need to come in school uniform for the trip, however they will need to be in appropriate, comfortable clothing. They may also need a spare pair of shorts or trousers as there are water rides at the venue.

The total cost of the trip to school is £17.33 per child. In the event of an inadequate number of contributions being received it may not be possible for the visit to take place.

Your payment will need to be made through the school money website, we kindly ask that payment is made by Friday 16th June. Please login as normal and then select the trip option. Alternatively, payments can be made using a Pay Point slip which are available on request.
