U11s Dodgeball Team 2023
On the 9th February 2023, a group of 9 enthusiastic children left school to represent Rosehill at the first ever dodgeball tournament.
The team consisted of Jack, Mitchell, Alfie, Alfie, Stephen, Thomas, Molly, Molly and Grace.
The children were split into three teams of three who played against six other schools in a round-robin competition.
The children thoroughly enjoyed their day, supported by the great team of Mr Wilkinson and Mrs Gyte.
Alfie - It was great fun and it was good to see how different teams used tactics to try and win their games.
Alfie - It was just fun!
Jack - It was really fun and we learnt how to improve during the day, using tactics we picked up from other teams.
Stephen - I enjoyed it, it was great fun.
Mitchell - It was great fun and even if the opposition looked like they were winning the game, we never gave up.
Thomas - Everyone took on board the comments and helpful tips from Mr Wilkinson so we improved throughout the competition.
Molly - I enjoyed my day. The people who weren't playing encouraged those who were which meant we were great as a team.
Molly - It was a new experience representing the school and it was nice to see other people and how good they were at sports.
Grace - I have never represented the school before and it was amazing because I got to do something new. I was happy to represent Rosehill.
Mr Wilkinson - One of my favourite memories of the day was when Alfie was on his own, then he was able to catch the ball twice resulting in other team members being brought back into the game and then we went and won!
Mrs Gyte - I am so proud of the children as they worked so well as a team. They supported each other well and they were able to put the tactics they learnt from other teams into practise in the next games in order to improve throughout the tournament. The behaviour of the children was impeccable and they were a credit to Rosehill.
